San Jose State looks to avoid a third straight loss on Friday afternoon when it takes on Stanford
The San Jose State Spartans welcome the Stanford Cardinal to town on Friday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams. The Spartans come into Friday on a two-game losing streak and 6-5 on the season. They won their first three games of the season, but have since gone just 3-5 over their last eight games. Last week they played great in the first half against UNLV and led 16-10 at halftime, but they were shutout in the second half and lost 27-16. It was a tough loss for the Spartans and one they will try and bounce back from on Saturday. The Spartans have played two quarterbacks this year and both have thrown for over 1,500 yards. Walke Eget has thrown for 1,839 yards and seven touchdowns, while Emmett Brown has gone for 1,621 yards and 16 touchdowns. Nick Nash has been their top target as he has 96 receptions for 1,291 yards and 14 touchdowns.
