The Pitt Panthers hit the road on Saturday afternoon to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Panthers come into the game a perfect 4-0 on the season and fresh off a bye week. The Panthers whipped Youngstown State 73-17 two weeks ago to finish their non-conference schedule undefeated. It wasn’t easy, though, as they had to comeback to beat Cincinnati on the road 28-27 and then had to do it again a week later when they erased a 10-point deficit to West Virginia in the last four minutes of the game. It has been an exciting start to the season, but the Panthers have found a way to win each game. They have been led by quarterback Eli Holstein who has thrown for 1,183 yards and 12 touchdowns. Desmond Reid has led the rushing attack with 319 yards on 44 carries.

The Tar Heels are going to have to find a way to slow them down if they want to deal the Panthers their first loss and avoid a third straight loss.
The Tar Heels began the year with three straight wins, but then forgot how to play defense in a 70-50 loss to James Madison two weeks ago. They then lost a second straight game last week as they blew a lead to rival Duke and fell 21-20.
It has been a tough couple of weeks for the Tar Heels, but they will be looking to bounce back at home and get their first ACC win of the season.
They are going to lean heavily on running back Omarion Hampton to get that win. Hampton has rushed for 658 yards and six touchdowns in the first five games of the season.
