After losing to FBS opponent Colorado in their season-opener, the Bison haven’t lost in FCS play with a 7-1 overall record and a 4-0 mark in MVFC play this season. North Dakota State is 3-1 on the road, with its lone road loss against the Buffs in the opener. Murray State, on the other hand, has lost four-straigh games to drop to 1-6 overall with an 0-4 conference record. Murray State is 1-3 at home in their second season in the Missouri Valley Conference. Last season, NDSU coasted to a 38-6 victory over Murray State in Fargo.

Most recently, North Dakota State claimed the Dakota Marker in a 13-9 victory over South Dakota State last week. Cam Miller led a game-winning drive where he was 7-for-7 on a 10-play, 92-yard touchdown drive capped by a 20-yard touchdown toss to RaJa Nelson. Nelson also caught an 18-yard touchdown earlier in the game, and Miller threw for 163 yards in the game.
As for Murray State, the Racers fell at home to Illinois State by a final score of 40-32 at Roy Stewart Stadium last week. Jawaun Northington led the Racers offense with 104 rushing yards and two touchdowns, his first 100-yard game of the year.
