With the visitors looking to snap a two-game losing streak in Tampa Bay this weekend, Navy visits AAC foe South Florida at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday afternoon. After opening the season a perfect 6-0, Navy has lost two consecutive games to drop to 6-2 overall with a 4-1 record in conference play. The Midshipmen are 2-1 on the road this season compared to an undefeated 4-0 on home turf, with a stunning loss at Rice last week. South Florida, on the other hand, has won two consecutive games to improve to 4-4 overall with a 2-2 conference record. These two teams have split their first four meetings, including a 44-20 victory for South Florida in Annapolis last season.

Most recently, Navy’s offense was held to just 260 total yards in a 24-10 loss to Rice in Houston last week. The game was delayed for three hours due to a severe lightning storm, and Navy QB Blake Horvath struggled to throw the ball in the wet conditions. Horvath threw two interceptions with just 10 completions for 120 yards in the loss.
As for South Florida, the Bulls earned their second straight win with a 44-21 victory over Florida Atlantic in Tampa last week. South Florida dominated the second half, outscoring their opponent 31-7 after halftime. USF quarterback Bryce Archie threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
