Arizona State goes for its second straight win on Saturday night when it welcomes Mississippi State to town
The Arizona State Sun Devils host the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday night in a non-conference battle. The Sun Devils are coming off an impressive 48-7 win over Wyoming last weekend in which they shutout the Cowboys until the fourth quarter. It was a dominant opening game for Arizona State as quarterback Sam Leavitt went 14-22 for 258 yards and two touchdowns. He spread the ball around as he connected with seven different receivers with Kyson Brown and Chamon Metayer hauling in the two touchdown passes. The defense also played well as they forced three turnovers and got three sacks. It was a complete performance for the Sun Devils and one they will look to duplicate on Saturday as they try and stay unbeaten on the season.

The Bulldogs, though, are looking to come out west and get a big non-conference win and also stay undefeated.
They opened their season with an easy 56-7 win over Eastern Kentucky last weekend. The Bulldogs jumped to a 35-0 lead in the first half and cruised to the win.
Blake Shapen was great for the Bulldogs as he went 15-20 through the air for 247 yards and three touchdowns.
Jordan Mosley and Kevin Coleman both had five receptions and scored a touchdown. Mosley led the receiving core with 104 yards.
The Bulldogs also pounded out 203 yards on the ground, but it was a collective effort as no player had more than nine rushes or more than 44 yards on the ground.
