The Fighting Irish are the No. 17 ranked team in the country with a 2-1 record through the first three weeks of the year. They opened up the season as the No. 5 ranked team taking down Texas A&M on the road 23-13. They came back home in Week 2 and lost to Northern Illinois 16-14. Last week, they went back on the road and dominated Purdue 66-7. Duke transfer Riley Leonard leads the team under center with 49 completions for 433 yards and two interceptions. He has yet to throw his first touchdown to ND this season. However, on the ground, Jeremiyah Love has three scores to go along with 35 yards and 279 yards. Beaux Collins leads the receiving group with 116 yards on 12 receptions.

The RedHawks are winless through the first three weeks of the season at 0-2. They went on the road in the first week and lost to Northwestern 13-6. Their bye week came in Week 2 before they got back at it last week with their first home game of the year. They ended up losing to Cincinnati 27-16 in that home opener.
Brett Gabbert leads the team on offense. The quarterback has thrown for 566 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions. Cade McDonald leads the receivers with 240 yards on 16 receptions and a touchdown. The ground game has struggled mightily for this team with just 33 yards racked up by their leading rusher.
