Louisiana Tech picked up its first conference win last time out. That was last Thursday, when the Bulldogs hosted Middle Tennessee. Quarterback Evan Bullock was excellent in the 48-21 game. He completed 18 of his 25 pass attempts for 290 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions.
On the other side of the ball, the Bulldogs stifled the Blue Raiders’ run game. Middle Tennessee State ran for just 2.9 yards per carry on 21 carries.
Meanwhile, New Mexico State is still looking for its first win since the season opener. Most of the Aggies’ games to start the season were close, but last week at Jacksonville State they got upended 54-13. Their other conference games this year have been against Sam Houston State and Liberty.
