With visitors looking to notch their tenth win in the regular-season finale this weekend, Louisiana makes the short trip to Malone Stadium to face rival Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday. The Ragin’ Cajuns are having another strong campaign with a 9-2 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the Sun Belt this season. Louisiana got back on track with a win last week, and are a perfect 5-0 on the road this season with a 4-2 mark at Cajun Field. ULM, on the other hand, is looking to snap a five-game losing streak that has dropped the Hawks to 5-6 overall with a 3-4 conference record and a 4-1 mark at home. Last season, the Ragin’ Cajuns rolled to a 52-21 victory over ULM, marking their 31st win in the series history to 26 losses.

Most recently, Louisiana notched a huge win at home to claim a share of the SBC West title with a 51-30 victory over Troy last week. Redshirt senior Chandler Fields made his first start of the season, throwing for a career-high 323 yards and two touchdowns in the win while leading the Ragin’ Cajuns to 30 unanswered points.
As for Louisiana-Monroe, the Warhawks lost a close one to Arkansas State by a final score of 28-21 last week at Centennial Bank Stadium. Arkansas State scored the game-winning touchdown on a 44-yard touchdown pass at the 7:58 mark in the fourth quarter after ULM went on a drive to tie the game earlier in the frame.
