Jackson State will head on the road in Week 9 of the college football season to take on Bethune-Cookman at Daytona Stadium in Daytona Beach, Florida, in a Southwestern Athletic Conference – East Division rivalry. The Tigers head into this week with just two losses on their record overall. None of those losses came against conference teams as they sit with an undefeated 3-0 record and on top of their conference tied with Southern, who is in the West Division. They lost to UL Monroe in the first game of the season and Grambling in Week 4 of the season. Outside of those losses, they have beaten Lane, Southern, Texas Southern, Alabama A&M, and most recently Florida A&M 35-21 last week. Jacobian Morgan has been dominant for Jackson State in his junior season with 1,236 yards and 10 touchdowns with four interceptions. Joanes Fortilien leads the team with 23 receptions and 411 yards and six of Morgan’s 10 touchdowns.

The Wildcats have had an opposite season of Jackson State. They have just one win to their name through seven games and a bye week. Their only win did come against a conference team in Mississippi Valley State last week 20-10 after losing their first six games of the year. They lost in the conference to Alabama State and Alabama A&M.
Cam’Ron Ransom leads the team with 977 yards through the air. His has a 1.00 touchdown to interception ratio with four touchdowns. His legs are almost as deadly as his arm. He leads the team in rushing with 76 carries for 200 yards and five touchdowns. Lorenzo Jenkins has 13 receptions for a team-high 204 yards and a score.
