South Dakota State hosts Incarnate Word on Saturday in the quarterfinal of the FCS Division 1 Football Tournament.
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits take on the Incarnate Word Cardinals with a berth in the semifinals of the FCS Division 1 Tournament on the line. The Jackrabbits come into Saturday 11-2 on the season and on a six-game winning streak. They got the three seed for the tournament and it gave them a first round bye. They had little trouble in the second round as they beat Montana 35-18. They gave up just three points in the first three quarters and led 21-3 heading into the fourth. They did give up 15 points in the fourth, but were never really threatened and got the win. Mark Gronowski has led the way at quarterback throwing for 2,343 yards and 19 touchdowns. Griffin Wilde has been his top target as he has caught 64 passes for 1,021 yards and 10 touchdowns. Amar Johnson has been great on the ground also as he has rushed for 1,013 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The Cardinals will look to so slow down the Jackrabbits offense and pick up the big upset and move to the semifinals.
The Cardinals come into the game on a 10-game winning streak and 11-2 on the season. One of their losses came against the Jackrabbits back on September 7th.
They trailed 17-10 at halftime, but were outscored 28-14 in the second half and lost 45-24. They struggled on defense in that game and will need to be better on Saturday.
The Cardinals offense relies heavily on the air attack as Zach Calzada has thrown for 3,486 yards and 34 touchdowns. Jalen Walthall and Roy Alexander have both gone over 1,000 yards in receiving and have combined for 26 touchdowns.
