With both Ivy League rivals trying to earn their third win of the season this weekend, Brown welcomes longtime rival Cornell to Brown Stadium in Providence on Saturday afternoon. After winning their first two games of the season, Brown has lost three consecutive games to drop to 2-3 overalll with an even 1-1 mark in Ivy League play. The Bears are 1-1 at home this season, with an Ivy League win over Harvard in late September as their lone conference win. Cornell, on the other hand, snapped a two-game losing streka last week to improve to 2-3 overall with a 1-1 conference record. The Big Red are 1-1 on the road this season. Cornell has won two straight games over Brown, including a 36-14 win last season.

Most recently, Brown dropped its second straight game in a 29-17 loss to Princeton on the road last week. The Bears offense turned the ball over five times but did manage to rush for 172 yards. Brown quarterback Jake Wilcox finished the game with a team-high 55 rushing yards and was 31-for-50 for 271 passing yards in the loss.
As for Cornell, the Big Red rallied for a 34-21 victory over Bucknell in Lewisburg last week. Cornell got out to a huge 21-point lead in the first quarter and didn’t look back. Senior quarterback Jameson Wang threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, while Ean Pope had a team-high 111 rushing yards on 17 carries. Wang also added 59 rushing yards.
Brown and Cornell will now square off in an Ivy League matchup at Brown Stadium on Saturday.
