Kyron Drones and Virginia Tech will take the field against No. 23 Clemson and Cade Klubnik on Saturday.
The No. 23 ranked team in the nation, Clemson, will head on the road in Week 11 of the college football season to take on Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Virginia Tech at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers are 6-2 overall this season and 5-1 against conference opponents in the ACC. They sit just behind No. 4 Miami and No. 13 SMU, who are both undefeated in conference play. Their only conference loss came in their last game, 33-21, at home when they were ranked No. 11.
They had beaten NC State, Stanford, Florida State, Wake Forest, and Virginia in the conference as well. Cade Klubnick leads the team in his third year with Clemson. The junior quarterback has thrown for 2,064 yards and 21 touchdowns with only three interceptions. He has an 81.6 season QBR, which is the No. 10 best in the country. Antonio Williams has been his favorite target with 418 yards on 34 receptions for six touchdowns.
The Hokie are 5-4 overall this season and 3-2 against conference teams. They lost to Rutgers and top-ACC team Miami before beating Stanford, Boston College, and Georgia Tech in three straight games. They lost last week to Syracuse in overtime, 38-31. They are tied for the best record in the conference of any team who is not nationally ranked.
Kyron Drones leads the team on offense in his second season with VT since transferring from Baylor. He has thrown for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns with five interceptions. The rushing attack is led by Bhayshul Tuten, a senior running back, who has 951 yards on 142 carries and 12 touchdowns. He averages 6.7 yards per carry.
