After both teams opened the regular season with tune-up games in Week 1, No. 17 Oklahoma State hosts unranked Arkansas at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater on Saturday afternoon.
The Cowboys opened their season at Boone Pickens Stadium with a comfortable win over South Dakota State last week, while the Razorbacks trounced Arkansas-Pine Bluff at War Memorial Stadium. The two schools will renew a long-standing rivalry this weekend, with Saturday’s contest marking the first game between the two powerhouses since the 1980 season. After beginning the series in 1912, the two schools have faced off 46 times, with Arkansas leading the all-time series 30-15-1. This is just the 10th time the teams will play in Stillwater, with three other avenues previously hosting the rivalry.

Most recently, Oklahoma State opened the 2024 season with a 44-20 victory over South Dakota State in Stillwater last Saturday. Alan Bowman threw three touchdowns passes and Ollie Gordon II scored three times as the Cowboys pulled away in the second half with a 21-point third quarter.
As for Arkansas, the Razorbacks scored 10 opening-day touchdowns in a 70-0 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff last week. Taylen Green threw for 229 yards and two touchdowns in the win, while the Razorbacks scored eight times on the ground with Green adding two rushing touchdowns. Ja’Quinden Jackson also added two rushing touchdowns and 101 yards on the ground.
