At 2-1 on the season, Texas Tech is an interesting team. Given the uncertainty of the new-look Big 12, there’s a real chance that the Red Raiders can make noise this season. But it won’t be easy to pull off a win at home today, as conference play is always difficult.

Texas Tech won big last week in an in-state game over the North Texas Mean Green 66-21. That was a contest in which they were able to try new things and see success all across the board which is great for momentum. Arizona State won last week as well, but only by a field goal in a close contest that ended in a final score of 31-28 against the Texas State Bobcats. At the college level, a win is a win and the Sun Devils did what they needed to do in order to remain undefeated.
Following this contest, the Red Raiders will be hosting the Cincinnati Bearcats in another critical conference matchup. Meanwhile, ASU heads back home to take on Kansas Jayhawks following a bye week.
