Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets host the Toronto Raptors on Monday for the final time this season.

The Denver Nuggets (3-3) have quietly won three of their last four games to make up for a rough start to the season. Those initial back-to-back losses opened Denver up to a lot of questions about its championship window. Since then Denver is back on track. The first win of this stretch came against the same team they play today in the Toronto Raptors (2-5). That game went to overtime after the Nuggets trailed by eight points at the half and five points entering the fourth quarter. Toronto was up 108-99 with 3:26 to go in the fourth quarter. Nikola Jokic took over with eight points and the game tying assist to Jamal Murray, who scored as time expired to send the game to overtime.

With nine seconds remaining in overtime Toronto got one final stop, leading to R.J. Barrett having the opportunity to tie or go for the win, but he missed a three-pointer to wrap up the 127-125 Denver win.

Jokic led all scorers with 35 points and added 10 rebounds and four assists. All five Denver starters scored in double figures with Murray and Christian Braun finishing with 17 points, Gordon with 16 points and Michael Porter Jr. adding 13 points. The bench combined for 24 points as Julian Strawther, Russell Westbrook and Peyton Watson all contributed in the overtime win.

Toronto had six players score in double figures, led by Scottie Barnes with 21 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. He went out with an injury down the stretch and will miss roughly two to three weeks with an orbital fracture.
