    Someone is stopping a losing streak on Monday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Atlanta Hawks.

    The Minnesota Timberwolves (14-13) have dropped their last two games and hit the road on Monday to open a three-game road swing when they visit the Atlanta Hawks (14-15) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The Hawks have dropped three straight and played on Saturday without All-Star point guard Trae Young, out with a right heel contusion. Atlanta is also without center Onyeka Okongwu (left knee inflammation) and lost reserve wing Kobe Bufkin to season-ending shoulder surgery. Minnesota is missing center Luka Garza (left ankle sprain) and veteran wing Joe Ingles (strained left soleus).

    The Timberwolves never led by more than one on Saturday night in a 113-103 loss to the visiting Golden State Warriors, shooting just 41.9 percent on the night and surrendering 19 points off 15 turnovers. Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo led the offense with 19 points each, with Rudy Gobert finishing with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

    The Hawks trailed wire-to-wire on Saturday in a 128-112 loss to the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. Atlanta turned the ball over a season-high 25 times without Young running the offense. De’Andre Hunter came off the bench for 26 points, Dyson Daniels added 15 and Jalen Johnson posted 13 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.

    Edwards leads Minnesota with 25.6 points per game, while Julius Randle knocks down 20.1 points a night. Gobert averages 10.6 points and 10.8 boards and Mike Conley puts up 8.2 points and 4.6 assists per contest. Young averages 21.6 points and an NBA-high 12.2 assists, with Hunter getting 20.1 points per game and Johnson posting 19.5 points and 10.1 rebounds an outing. Daniels leads the NBA in steals at 3.0 per game.
