The Toronto Raptors will head on the road on Wednesday night, taking on the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center. The Kings head into this home game with a 4-3 record through the first seven games of the season, getting a day break yesterday. They are the No. 8 ranked team in the Western Conference as well. After going 2-2 at the end of October, they have since gone 2-1 in the month of November. They opened up the month with a win against the Atlanta Hawks on the road.
They followed it up with a road loss to the Raptors 131-128 in overtime. Their last game ended in a one-point win, 111-110, over the Miami Heat. In the last game these teams played, DeMar DeRozan led Sacramento with 33 points on 12-of-27 shooting from the floor. He also had three rebounds and four assists. Domantas Sabonis had a triple-double with 17 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists. De’Aaron Fox also chipped in 24 points, while Keegan Murray had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Raptors have just two wins on the season with one of them being the aforementioned win over their opponent tonight. Their other win came against the Philadelphia 76ers in their second game of the season. This month, they have also lost to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets.
RJ Barrett, the former New York Knick, leads this team in scoring with 26.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game. He is followed by former Kansas product Gradey Dick, who averages 21.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Scottie Barnes, Jacob Poeltl, and Ochai Agbaji play big roles as well.
