These Atlantic division foes face off on Saturday night when the Boston Celtics host the Toronto Raptors.
The Toronto Raptors won’t get much reprieve tonight to help their slow start to the season when they travel to take on the Boston Celtics. The Raptors have yet to win a road game this season with a 0-7 record and a 2-11 record overall. Toronto is trying to end a six-game losing streak and have lost 10 of its last 11. The Raptors are coming off a deflating 99-95 loss in NBA Cup – Group Play against the Detroit Pistons on Friday. The Pistons remain undefeated in NBA Cup play Malik Beasley fueling the win with a team-high 20 points. He scored seven of those points to put the Pistons over the edge. The Raptors were led by Jakob Poeltl who scored 25. It was a season-high in points for Poeltl and he matched a career-high with 19 rebounds. Gradey Dick had a chance to take the lead and tie the game in the final 21 seconds but he missed two three-point attempts to seal Toronto’s fate.

Boston is the hughe 16.5-point favorite at home tonight. The defending champs are off to a great start leading the Atlantic division and are coming off a 139-114 win against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. The game was close at half but Boston turned up the jet fuel in the second fueled by a 36-point performance by Jayson Tatum.
The Celtics superstar was just two rebounds away from a triple-double. Jaylen Brown added 24 points in the easy win. It is reasonable to predict that the results will be similar for the Celtics returning home tonight.
