The Houston Rockets (12-5) host the Portland Trail Blazers (6-10) for a second game in a row after taking the first on Friday night. Houston has played some of the best basketball in the league after a 3-3 start winning nine of its last 11 games including seven of the last eight. In Friday’s win Houston locked down Portland for a 116-88 forcing 20 turnovers and holding them to 33% shooting from the field. Dillon Brooks led the way with season-high 28 points and a career-high six made three-pointers. Houston finished with five players in double-figures, two off the bench and held an opponent under 100 points for the fourth time this season.

Tari Eason and Amen Thompson came to play off the bench for Houston in the win. Eason finished with 22 points and eight rebounds while Thompson collected his fourth double-double of the season with 10 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks stuffing the statsheet.
Jalen Green (17 points) and Alperen Sengun (14 points and nine rebounds) also finished in double-figures for Houston in the win. With another win here Houston will take the season series that has one more game in January.
For Portland in the loss only four players finished in double-figures. Shaedon Sharpe led all starters with 13 points on 3-9 shooting from the field. In Sharpe’s last four games he was starting to find his rhythm after missing 52 straight games averaging 25.8 points per game on 48% shooting leading Portland to a 3-1 record.
