Anfernee Simons led all scorers with 30 but Pascal Siakam was right behind him for Indiana with 29 points. The Pacers beat the Pistons in the opening game of the season on the road where Indiana was trailing by 12 points to spoil the debut of J.B. Bickerstaff with the Pistons.
