Kevin Durant and Devin Booker lead the Phoenix Suns on the road against the Detroit Pistons today.
After one preseason game each the Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons continue to prepare for the season with their second preseason game. Both teams picked up a win in their first preseason game as each team’s stars knocked off the rust and the young players got their first action in the NBA. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker combined for 18 points in just 14 minutes of play each in a 118-114 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. They were both a little rusty from the field, combining to shoot just 7-22 from the field and 3-9 from three. Durant and Booker are coming off a summer where they were key contributors to Team USA winning a fifth straight Gold Medal.

The rookies for Phoenix played well with Oso Ighodaro finishing with 12 points, five assists and four rebounds on 6-8 shooting from three. Ryan Dunn added nine points shooting 2-6 from three giving Phoenix a defensive focused wing that can stretch the floor off the bench.
For Detroit in its first preseason win against the Milwaukee Bucks. They outscored Milwaukee 60-29 in the second half led by Marcus Sasser, rookie Ron Holland and Wendell Moore Jr.
Sasser paced the offense with 12 points and nine assists with no turnovers. He organized the offense, setting up Moore Jr. (14 points and rebounds), Holland (10 points, six rebounds and five assists) and Malik Beasley (11 points) who all finished in double-figures. Jaden Ivey led the starters with 22 points while Cade Cunningham finished with 13 points, four assists and four rebounds.
