How to Watch 76ers vs. Timberwolves: Stream NBA Live, TV Channel

Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves host Paul George and the Philadelphia 76ers in NBA preseason play on Friday.

The world will get their first look at Paul George in action for the Philadelphia 76ers as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in both teams’ second preseason game. Tyrese Maxey played alone in the first game, but Paul George is making his debut, while the third star in this trio, Joel Embiid, did not travel with the team. The addition of George to the Maxey-Embiid pairing gives Philadelphia another scorer, playmaker and star to make a run to the NBA Finals for the first time in over 20 years. Bringing George to Philadelphia gives the team a six-time All-NBA and nine-time All-Star who has shined as the star of a franchise and as the complement to bigger stars during his career.

Last season George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 74 games. That was his ninth straight season averaging more than 20 points per game and third time in five years where he shot over 40 percent from three-point range.

For Minnesota, it is still waiting for the debut of Julius Randle, who was acquired in the blockbuster Karl-Anthony Towns trade. Donte DiVincenzo, the other addition in that move, did play in the preseason opener, scoring 11 points on perfect shooting. The veteran guard went 4-for-4 from the field and 3-for-3 from three in the win, adding two rebounds and an assist in 10 minutes.

Rookies Rob Dillingham (21 points and four assists) and Terrence Shannon Jr. (14 points, five assists and four rebounds) both played well off the bench. Fourth year big man Luka Garza (20 points and nine rebounds) also did and third year forward Josh Minott (22 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three) in Minnesota’s 124-107 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
