The Boston Celtics look to get back on track against the heating up Indiana Pacers on Friday night.
The Boston Celtics are coming off back-to-back losses for the first time this season when they host the Indiana Pacers on Friday night. The task of avoiding losing three in a row will be difficult though because the Pacers have won five game of their last six games. Boston last played in primetime on Christmas day but lost at home in a close contest 118-114 to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Joel Embiid had a great game scoring 27 points despite slipping and grabbing his ankle in pregame warmups. He also hit a pair of clutch free throws in the final seconds to thwart off any final comeback for Boston. It was really Tyrese Maxey who came up the biggest scoring a game-high 33 points. Jayson Tatum still played great for the Celtics scoring 32 points. The Celtics will try to tie this season-series against the Pacers tonight after falling by just three in overtime to Indiana in the first game back on Hallows Eve. Boston should be favored to get back on track here at home tonight.
Indiana will be playing on back-to-back nights after taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday. The Pacers five-game winning streak came to a halt against the Thunder when OKC won 120-114. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went off once again tying a career-high 45 points. Andrew Nembhard led the Pacers with 23 points. Indiana lost the turnover battle with 11 with the Thunder turning it over just three times. Tyrese Haliburton didn’t look like himself either scoring just four points. They’ll need their star to turn it around quick if they have a chance to pull off this upset on the road where Boston has only lost only five times.
