With the regular season right around the corner two teams with high expectations clash here in the preseason. This is the final preseason game for the New Orleans Pelicans who split their first two games and had one canceled due to weather. They take on the Houston Rockets who have also split their first two games and have one more game after this to prepare for the regular season. New Orleans comes into the season with a healthy Zion Williamson. He is coming off a career-best season where he played 70 games, nine more than his previous best and 17 more than his previous three seasons combined. Williamson and New Orleans come into the season as one of the most intriguing teams in the league.

So far in two preseason games Williamson is averaging 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in 18.1 minutes of action. He has been efficient and dominant in those minutes shooting 61.9% from the field and 100% from the free-throw line.
On the other side for Houston in its two preseason five different players are averaging in double-figures scoring. Alperen Sengun is leading the way with 17.0 points per game on 60% shooting as the teams fulcrum in the paint. His scoring and playmaking will be a huge key for Houston’s success this season after the team went on a run while Sengun was injured last season.
Jalen Green has continued his trend in the right direction as a three-pointer shooter averaging 16.5 points per game on 38.9% from deep. Dillon Brooks (15.0 points per game), Cam Whitmore (13.0 points per game) and Amen Thompson (10.5 points per game) have also played well so far in the preseason.
