Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls look to end 2-game losing slides when they meet Monday night at the United Center
The Brooklyn Nets (9-12) hit the road on the back end of a back-to-back on Monday night when they visit the Chicago Bulls (8-13) at the United Center in Chicago. Brooklyn had won three straight before taking a pair of losses at home from the Orlando Magic while the Bulls have dropped three of their last four. The Nets are without leading scorer Cam Thomas, out for another two to three weeks with a strained hamstring, while Dorian Finney-Smith hasn’t played since Wednesday because of a sprained left ankle. Chicago is dealing with a left foot injury to Patrick Williams, who last played on Nov. 18.

Dennis Schröder returned to the lineup with 20 points and seven assists while Cameron Johnson knocked down 26 points in Brooklyn’s 100-92 loss to the Magic on Sunday. Six fourth-quarter turnovers hurt the Nets, who were outscored 17-9 over the final 7:01. Schröder averages 18.7 points and 6.4 assists while Johnson scores 18.1 points per game Nic Claxton posts 8.5 points and 7.6 rebounds a night.
The Bulls has no answers defensively for the visiting Boston Celtics on Friday in a 138-129 loss. Nikola Vučević finished with 32 points and 11 rebounds and Zach LaVine added 29 points in the loss. LaVine leads the team with 22.0 points per fame, averages 20.9 points and 10.0 boards and Josh Giddey books 11.7 points and 6.7 assists an outing.
Brooklyn can clinch the season series with Chicago with a victory after taking a 120-112 decision in Brooklyn on Nov. 1. The teams have one more matchup remaining after Monday as they are scheduled to meet again at the United Center on March 13.
