Victor Wembanyama and San Antonio host Anthony Edwards and Minnesota for the second time this season. Watch free on Fubo.
The Minnesota Timberwolves (13-11) are starting to show signs of being the team that made it to the Western Conference Finals last season. They have won four of the last five games, allowing less than 100 points in those wins. Minnesota is up to fourth in both points allowed and defensive rating. The San Antonio Spurs (12-11) will try to crack that defense and pick up their second win of the season against Minnesota. Heading into this game San Antonio has won two straight games by a combined five points led by Victor Wembanyama. The second-year big man anchors San Antonio alongside rising young stars Devin Vassell and rookie Stephon Castle.

Since Vassell returned from injury San Antonio is 5-5 in 10 games. He is averaging 17.2 points, 3.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game coming off the bench. Vassell had started 94 of his previous 106 games, but is thriving off the bench as a scorer and playmaker.
In the first game between the teams San Antonio won 113-103 after building a solid lead through three quarters. Keldon Johnson led the way with 25 points off the bench on 10-15 shooting from the field. Jeremy Sochan (19 points and 10 rebounds) and Chris Paul (15 points and 13 assists) each had double-doubles while Wembanyama finished with just 17 points during his early season shooting woes.
Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle led the way for the Minnesota offense with 21 points each in the loss.
