In the first game between the teams Miami came away with the 114-106 win. Ball showed early he was going to be a scoring force this season with 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, getting to the line eight times in the loss. Miller was not in the lineup the first time Charlotte and Miami played.
The scoring explosion has not led to a lot of wins for Charlotte, but nonetheless has been as impressive as anything early in the season. If Ball and Miller continue this scoring explosion against Miami it could be the key to Charlotte getting back in the win column after back-to-back losses.
Jimmy Butler paced Miami in the early season win with 26 points, eight rebounds and eight assists on 11-of-17 shooting from the free throw line. Tyler Herro added 22 points, five assists and five rebounds in the win.
