Orlando still leads the Southeast division after a 111-100 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday. Wagner led the Magic once again against the Pistons scoring 30 points, with nine rebounds and eight assists. It was the eighth win in its last nine games for Orlando. The Magic only led by three at the half but they started to create some space in the second half and handed Detroit its third straight loss. Orlando will be the -5.5-point favorite even on the road tonight.
Charlotte is trying to avoid losing four of its last five games after the Hornets are coming off a 125-119 loss on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks. Ball is doing everything he can to put the Hornets back in the win column but his efforts keep coming up short. That included Ball scoring a career-high 50 points in the loss against the Bucks. Milwaukee just had a more balanced attack with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the Bucks with 32 points and Damian Lillard added another 31 to give Milwaukee its fourth win in a row. Charlotte is four games back of the division lead behind Orlando with a chance to close a bit of that gap at home tonight.
