The last two games for the Denver Nuggets (12-10) have been a microcosm of the season for the 2023 NBA Champions. They wasted a historic Nikola Jokic performance where the three-time MVP scored a career-high 56 points in a loss to the lowly Washington Wizards. Then bounced back scoring 141 points in a win over the Atlanta Hawks who are playing their best basketball of the season. Now Jokic and Denver turn their attention to a Western Conference rival in the Los Angeles Clippers (14-11). This is the third game of the season between the teams with Los Angeles taking the first two games.

Jokic is having his best statistical season of his career and is coming off back-to-back games where he totaled 104 points, 30 rebounds and 16 assists. He will look to maintain this hot streak against Los Angeles.
In the first two games against Los Angeles this season Jokic has averaged 34.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. He went off for 41 points in the first game and a 28 point triple-double in the most recent. Both losses came by a combined nine points with each coming down to a few plays down the stretch.
James Harden and Norman Powell carried the load in both wins for Los Angeles. Powell went off for 37 points in the first game and 65 points combined on 12-19 shooting from three in the two games. Harden paced the offense with two double-doubles averaging 31.0 points and 13.5 assists per game.
