Sacramento Kings head east on their four-game road trip to take on the banged-up Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.
The Sacramento Kings (2-2) opened a four-game road trip with a win on Wednesday night and now head eastward on Friday to visit the battered Atlanta Hawks (2-3), who have lost three straight games. Atlanta hasn’t had center Cody Zeller (personal) or young wing Kobe Bufkin (right shoulder subluxation) yet this season and is also dealing with injuries to wings Bogdan Bogdanović (tendinopathy in right hamstring) and De’Andre Hunter (right knee injury management) as well as point guard Vit Krejci (right adductor). The Kings haven’t had rookie point guard Devin Carter (torn labrum in left shoulder) or center Orlando Robinson (sprained left MCL) available this season.

Domantas Sabonis put up 28 points and 11 rebounds in Sacramento’s 113-96 romp of the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. DeMar DeRozan added 20 points and eight assists — his fourth straight game with at least 20 points to open his Kings’ career — and Keon Ellis came off the bench to block three shots.
The Hawks defense was shredded in a 133-120 loss on the road to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. Trae Young went for 35 points and 15 assists while Jalen Johnson finished with 21 points, 17 rebounds and three steals.
Sabonis paces Sacramento with 24.3 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while DeRozan gets 23.0 points a night and De’Aaron Fox averages 21.5 points and 7.5 assists. Young leads the NBA with 11.6 assists per game and also scores 28.2 points a night. Johnson puts up 16.8 points and 11.0 rebounds an outing.
