Daniel Gafford and Kyrie Irving were right behind him with 23-20 respectively. Deni Avdija led the Trail Blazers with 19 points. Jerami Grant has been a stable force for this team but scored just three points against the Mavericks. Utah might be similarly struggling like the Trail Blazers but they’ll need much more from one of its best to defend home court. Portland is looking for its elusive 10th win of the season tonight.
Utah is coming off a loss but would not be blamed too much for it as it came at the hands of the NBA’s best. The Jazz lost on Monday 124-113 against the Cleveland Cavaliers who have now won their 17th home game out of 18 after its matchup with the Jazz. Even with the loss though, Utah was led by Jordan Clarkson who had a game-high 27 points. This game is much more within reach for the Jazz and don’t be surprised if they pull off this upset for their eighth win of the season.
