The Atlanta Hawks look to get back to .500 when they take on the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. Despite sitting at 4-5, the Hawks are at the top of the Southeast division with the likes of Miami and Orlando unexpectedly struggling. Atlanta is coming off an impressive victory against the New York Knicks. Atlanta beat New York 121-116 on Wednesday with No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher going off with 33 points. This is the most amount of points by any rookie this season. Knicks fans were booing the hometown Hawks, especially their recently most hated villain Trae Young. But Young and the Hawks had the last laugh completing the comeback victory. Young finished the night with 23 points, 11 assists and six rebounds. On the other side, Karl-Anthony Towns led New York with 34 points and 16 rebounds. Atlanta trailed by five with just three minutes left to play but finished the game on a 13-1 run.

Detroit is coming off a tough one-point loss against another Southeast opponent losing to the Charlotte Hornets 108-107 on Wednesday. Detroit was up with just seconds remaining but Brandon Miller of the Hornets had other plans to finish the game getting the putback layup off an offensive rebound right at the buzzer. Jaden Ivey led the Pistons with 21 points and Cade Cunningham had a triple-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists as Detroit tries to rebound back at home tonight. At least the home team is the slight -1.5 favorite.
