Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors can close out group play in the NBA Cup undefeated with a win against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.
The Golden State Warriors (12-7) have the opportunity to close out group play on Tuesday in the 2024 NBA Cup undefeated. They won their first three games by 12 total points and have clinched West Group C. They close out group play against the Denver Nuggets (10-8), who are coming off a loss and look to bounce back. They need a lot of help to advance to Las Vegas for the quarterfinals. Denver would need to win, see the Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers lose, oh, and win by 16 or more points in regulation here today. Golden State can let its foot off the gas, which would open the door for Denver or slam the door on Nikola Jokic and company.

This is the first meeting between the teams this season. Last season Denver swept the season series led by Jokic, who nearly averaged a triple-double in the four wins. Jokic put up 31.8 points, 13.0 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game with two triple-doubles and four double-doubles against Golden State.
Jokic is on pace to become just the third player in NBA history to average a triple-double for a full season. He is averaging 29.6 points, 13.2 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game, good for fourth, first and second in per game averages, respectively this season.
Golden State will attempt to slow down Jokic with the seventh best scoring defense in the league. There has been some slippage from Golden State as of late with the team losing four straight games. Steph Curry and company look to bounce back here in NBA Cup action where they are undefeated this season.
