How to Watch Mavericks at Jazz: Stream NBA Live, TV Channel

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks take on Lauri Markkanen and the Utah Jazz for the second time this season on Thursday.

Through 11 games this season the defending Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks (5-6) are under .500 and struggling some. At this point last season the team was shooting 39.4 percent from three, led by Luka Doncic lighting up the nets at 42.6 percent from three. This season the team is struggling to find a rhythm from deep despite adding arguably the second best shooter of all-time in Klay Thompson to stretch the floor. Doncic and Dallas look to get on track against the Utah Jazz (2-8) who have firmly planted their flag into a rebuild to start this season. Utah is tied for the least amount of wins and sits in last place in the Western Conference.

In the first game between the teams this season Dallas escaped with a 110-102 home win led by a balanced offensive attack. Six players finished in double figures with scoring led by Kyrie Irving with 23 points, nine assists and four rebounds.

Doncic’s shooting struggles were on full display as the All-NBA star finished 5-for-22 from the field (1-for-9 from three) with 18 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Thompson added 18 points on 4-of-11 shooting from three, P.J. Washington finished with a double-double (12 points and 11 rebounds). The bench played well, as Dereck Lively II (14 points) and Spencer Dinwiddie (11 points) each scored in double figures.

For Utah, after a slow start offensively it made the game close down the stretch, leading by 23 points from Collin Sexton and 17 points from Lauri Markkanen. Both teams struggled from deep, combining to shoot 21-for-74 (28.3 percent) in the first game of the regular season between the Western Conference rivals.
