Klay Thompson and the Dallas Mavericks go for the season sweep of the shorthanded San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
The Dallas Mavericks (33-33) are coming off their first win since a devastating injury ended Kyrie Irving’s season. They lost the first three games by a combined 50 points and looked lost on the offensive end. Dallas snapped a five-game winning streak with a 133-129 road win over the San Antonio Spurs (26-37). In that win Spencer Dinwiddie led the charge with 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting off the bench. Dallas goes for a second straight win in a row on Wednesday against San Antonio to try and keep in the mix for the Western Conference Play-In Tournament. Dallas won all three of the games against San Antonio this season and can close out with a sweep this season against a conference, state and in-state rival.

Dallas saw four different players score at least 20 points in the win led by Dinwiddie off the bench. Klay Thompson led all starters with 26 points on 8-of-14 shooting and 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
Naji Marshall finished with 23 points and Kessler Edwards picked up his second career double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Dallas scored over 130 points for the eighth time this season winning all eight games.
San Antonio was led by Harrison Barnes with 29 points and eight rebounds on 12-of-14 shooting. Keldon Johnson added 28 points off the bench and Devin Vassell went for 24 points in the loss. San Antonio has given up 125 or more points in five of the last six games going just 1-5 in those games.
