James Harden and the LA Clippers will take the court against Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
The Los Angeles Clippers will travel to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night for a regular season showdown in the NBA. The Grizzlies head into this week of NBA basketball as a top-three team in the Western Conference. They have been going back and forth on the leaderboard with the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks, while they all sit behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. Last week, after a loss to the Lakers, they took down the Golden State Warriors at home.
They were able to pick up that win by a monstrous amount, winning 144-93. Santi Aldama led the team with 21 points and 14 rebounds off the bench in 25 minutes. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the starters with 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Jake LaRavia also had 19 points and six rebounds despite only averaging eight points per game this season.
The Clippers are just over the .500 mark at 16-12 this season. They are in the middle of the pack in the Western Conference, hovering around the Mavericks and Denver Nuggets. Last week, they opened up with a massive win of their own, beating the Utah Jazz by 37 points, led by a 41-point performance from James Harden.
They then went to Texas to take on the Dallas Mavericks in a double-header with one game on Thursday and one on Saturday. They won the first game by 23 points. Norman Powell led the team with 29 points and seven rebounds with five assists. Ivan Zubac had the only double-double of the game with 21 points and 15 rebounds.
