The Chicago Bulls will head on the road in their season opener of the NBA’s regular season on Wednesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center. The Bulls open this season after five preseason games to gear up for this season. They won three of those five games, including the last game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in overtime 139-137 at home. All five starters for Chicago ended in double figures in the win. Ayo Dosunmu led the way with 19 points, three rebounds, and three assists. He was followed by Zach LaVine, who had 18 points and six rebounds. Nikola Vucevic had the team’s only double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds with six assists in 27 minutes. Coby White had 14 points and six rebounds with eight assists, while Patrick Williams had 10 points and six rebounds. All starters played over 20 minutes and had dominant games, which should make fans excited for this Chicago team.

The Pelicans will head into the regular season after just three games in the preseason, with one having been canceled against the Orlando Magic. They won just one of those three against the Magic in the first game. They lost the last two games to the Miami Heat and the Houston Rockets both on the road.
In their last loss to the Rockets, 118-98, Jordan Hawkins led the way with 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting in 18 minutes off the bench. Brandon Ingram had 18 points with three rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes. Dejounte Murray had 12 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in the loss too in 24 minutes as a starter.
