De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings host Cam Thomas and the Brooklyn Nets for the first time this season on Sunday.
The Sacramento Kings (8-8) have seen an explosion of great individual performances from De’Aaron Fox, but continue to struggle. Sacramento has lost four of the last six games despite Fox averaging 36.5 points and 7.1 assists per game on 47.1 percent shooting from three. They have the opportunity to get back in the win column against the Brooklyn Nets (6-10), who have lost six of the last eight after a 4-4 start to the season. Cam Johnson is playing the best basketball of his career with back-to-back 30-plus point games. The sixth year forward is 15-25 from three over the last two games, scoring 30-plus points in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.

This season Johnson is averaging 18.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He continues to be one of the best shooting wings in the NBA, supporting Cam Thomas, Denis Schroder and Nic Claxton for a rebuilding Brooklyn team.
Last season Sacramento dominated Brooklyn, winning both games by a total of 43 points. Fox paced the offense with 24.5 points and 5.5 assists per game, while Domantas Sabonis controlled the paint with 16.5 points, 18.0 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game with two near triple-doubles.
Sacramento could use a win, falling out of the Play-In Tournament standings early in the season with inconsistent play. Fox, Sabonis and new addition DeMar DeRozan have shown flashes as a trio, but it has not translated to consistent wins through 16 games.
