Chicago lost its only NBA Cup game so far this season in a 144-126 game to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In that game Chicago started slow and closed poorly getting outscored 86-58 in the first and fourth quarters respectively.
These teams have played once already this season outside of the NBA Cup with Chicago pulling off an impressive fourth quarter comeback. Chicago entered the final quarter down 98-90, but dominated Atlanta 35-15 in the final 12 minutes of play. Coby White scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth to lead the comeback.
Atlanta could not find a rhythm in the final period shooting 26.1% from the field with four turnovers. They missed all seven of their three-point attempts and went 3-7 from the free-throw line in an example of a quarter where nothing can go right for a team.B
