The 12th race in the NASCAR Cup Series takes the drivers to Kansas Speedway for the AdventHealth 400. This the second to last race before the All-Star Break for the drivers and one before the halfway point in the season. Christopher Bell will lead all drivers off the pole today with Ross Chastain, Noah Gragson, Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch just behind him to fill out the first five in the starting grid after qualifying. All of those drivers will look to hold off a field of 38 including five rookies all hoping for a win this season to contend for the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

This is the first pole of the season for Bell, who has one win so far in the 2024 season. He has the opportunity here today to pick up his second win and climb up the standings from 17th place where he currently sits with one win and three additional top six finishes this season.
At the top of the points standings this season heading into this race is Larson (410 points) with his one win and four additional top five finishes. He is just ahead of Martin Truex Jr. (295 points), Chase Elliott (377 points), Denny Hamlin (361 points) and Tyler Reddick (354 points) to round out the top five in points near the halfway point in the regular season.
William Byron is just outside the top five with his three wins, which are tied with Hamlin for the most this season. He has success on this track setting the stage for Byron to come away with his fourth win of the season and climb up even higher in the points standings this season.
