Armenia hosts Georgia in the UEFA Nations League playoffs on Thursday.
Only Armenia or Georgia will book its place in the second tier of the UEFA Nations League when the competition returns on Thursday for the first leg of a promotion double-header. The two teams will meet twice in the space of a week to determine who lines up in League B of next year’s competition – where Georgia finished third in 2024 – and who plays the next edition in League C – where Armenia most recently played. The two teams staged their only previous meetings in the 2020-21 edition of this competition and reunite in Yerevan with much resting on the line.Â
