Deegan is looking for her second straight world championship in 250 SMX and her third win overall in the series. Last season she held off Jett and Hunter Lawrence to become champion. This season both Lawrences are in the 450 SMX division giving Deegan a new group of contenders to ward off for the championship.

Behind Deegan in the standings are Levi Kitchen (42 points), Tom Vialle (37 points), Jo Shimoda (36 points) and Julien Beaumer (35 points) to round out the top five heading into today. Kitchen and Beaumer made leaps up the points standings in the first round of the playoffs and have their sights on doing that again today.

In the 450 SMX division Sexton (45 points) has an edge on the field, but just by four total points. (Jett) Lawrence (41 points) put the pressure on Sexton last week jumping up the standings with (Hunter) Lawrence (40 points), Eli Tomac and Justin Cooper (33 points) round out the rest of the top five in the standings after one round of playoff action.
