BC Place is set to host the exciting weekend matchup between the home side Vancouver Whitecaps FC and visiting club Los Angeles FC on Sunday in MLS postseason action. The two clubs will be meeting for game two of their best-of-three series in the first round of playoff action. Game 1 went to Los Angeles, who came away with a narrow 2-1 victory at BMO Stadium last Sunday. Denis Bouanga opened the scoring for the club from Southern California in the 30th minute of the match via penalty kick. The lead was held at 1-0 through halftime. Then, Cristian Olivera doubled the lead for L.A. in the 57th minute. The 2023 MLS Cup runner-up hoped to maintain the shutout at the end of the match, but Ryan Gauld was able to find the back of the net in stoppage time to pull one back for the Canadian side.

The two clubs will now face-off at BC Place on Sunday, with Vancouver needing to win in order to stay alive in the postseason. If the Whitecaps win, the two clubs will meet for a rubber match back at BMO Stadium the following week.
The winner of the series between Vancouver and L.A. will be going up against the winner of the series between the Seattle Sounders and the Houston Dynamo.
The Sounders won game one at home in penalty kicks following a scoreless finish in regular time.
