The win marks the team’s fifth win in its last six matches and has the Giants in third place in the NL West with a 36-27 record.

The Giants will be sending Alex Wood to the mound on Saturday, with the left sitting on a 4-5 record this season to go along with his 4.11 ERA. In his most recent outing, Wood pitched for six innings allowing four hits and two runs while notching five strikeouts in a win against the Royals on June 13.
Now, Wood will look to achieve his fifth win in his start against the Pirates in game two at PNC Park on Saturday.
