The New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers battle on Thursday evening in the decisive Game 3 of their Wild Card series.
The New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers face off in a win-or-go-home Game 3 on Thursday night. The Mets took Game 1 by a score of 8-4, but failed to get the sweep as they blew a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning of Game 2. Jackson Chourio tied the game with his second home run of the night in the eighth and then Garrett Mitchell followed with a two-run home run to give the Brewers their first lead of the game. The Brewers then closed the door on the Mets with a scoreless ninth and it forced a decisive Game 3. The Brewers will now send Tobias Myers to the mound in the elimination game. Myers finished the regular season 9-6 with a 3.00 ERA. The Brewers have been playing well with him on the mound as they have won four of his last five starts. Thursday they will look to continue that trend as they look to earn a berth into the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Mets, though, want to keep that from happening as they try and get another huge road win and upset the NL Central champion Brewers.
The Mets will turn to veteran Jose Quintana on the mound. Quintana wrapped up the regular season 10-10 with a 3.75 ERA.
His last start was also against the Brewers on Saturday when he gave up two runs on five hits in four and two-thirds of an inning. The Mets gave him no run support and they lost 6-0. That loss snapped a four-game winning streak with Quintana on the mound.
It has been an up and down season, though, for Quintana as the Mets had lost five in a row before that four-game winning streak.
