How to Watch Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Mets: Stream Game 5 Live, TV Channel

The New York Mets try to stay alive in Game 5 with the Los Angeles Dodgers one win away from clinching the NLCS.

The NLCS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets is due for a close game. That hasn’t happened in the first four games for either team. The series shifted to New York but the scenery change has been much more beneficial for the away team. In the first two games back in Queens, NY, the hometeam Mets have been outscored 18-2. Game 3 was no contest and the Dodgers stepped on the gas in Game 4 on Thursday to take a commanding 3-1 series lead with the Mets on the brink of elimination. We are one win away from seeing the brightest star in the game, Shohei Ohtani, reaching the World Series. Ohtani is lighting up since this series shifted to New York. He hit a bomb in Game 3 and led off Game 4 with a 422 moonshot to set the tone of the game.

New York kept coming back early but Mookie Betts started to put the game away with an RBI-double in the fourth and then he hit a two-run shot to ice the game. The Dodgers have been so dominant in their three wins outscoring the Mets 27-2 after almost getting eliminated by San Diego. That is because of their bullpen after their rotation had been a big question mark heading into the postseason. Even in this offensive barrage, Evan Phillips got the win for the Dodgers after pitching just 1.1 scoreless innings.

New York is trying anything they can to get this series back to LA here in Game 5. That calling has fallen on the shoulders of lefty starter David Peterson. He has been strong this postseason earning a win in the series against Philadelphia while earning a 2.08 ERA. He was one of the most reliable starters for New York all season with a 10-3 record and a 2.90 ERA. The Dodgers won’t be starting a slouch though in Jack Flaherty. Mets’ fans won’t forget what he did in Game 1 when the Dodgers won 9-0. Flaherty showed flashes of what he was in St. Louis by going seven innings while only giving up two hits and striking out six. It was a huge turnaround from his first postseason game this October where he went 5.1 innings and gave up four runs in a 10-2 loss against the Padres. Do these OMG Mets have one more rally left in them?
