The Blue Jays narrowly extended their winning streak in their last game on Sunday. They scored three times in the seventh and two times in the eighth to come from behind in an 11-10 victory.
With this recent run, the Blue Jays’ record is up to 27-20. That’s five and a half games behind the No. 1 Yankees in the AL East. Playing at home, the team is 14-8 so far in 2022.
The White Sox are coming off two games against their in-city rival, the Cubs. Sunday’s game saw them win 5-4 in 12 innings.
That win got Chicago back to .500 at 23-23. In a competitive AL Central where inter-division play has balanced the teams out, the White Sox are just four and a half games behind Cleveland for first place.
Tuesday night’s game features a star pitching matchup with two guys who have been dominant so far in 2022. Chicago righty Lucas Giolito is 3-1 with a 2.63 ERA, while Toronto’s Kevin Gausman is 4-3 with a 2.25 ERA.
