Diamondbacks head to Wrigley field tonight, aiming to end a six-game losing streak.
Three straight series wins for the Cubs have the northsiders trending closer to .500, winning six of their last nine games behind a solid pitching stretch that has posted a 2.77 ERA in May. Tonight under the lights at historic Wrigley Field, the Cubs host the slumping Arizona Diamondbacks who have dropped six straight games and have not stolen a road win since an 8-7 win at Miami back on May 4.

Marcus Stroman (1-3, 5.13 ERA) will take the mound for the Cubs tonight in his first start since a seven-inning, five strikeout performance against the Brewers on May 1. Stroman spent two weeks on the COVID-19 list and is coming off his best start since signing a three-year, $71 million deal during the offseason.
Twenty-six-year-old right-hander Zac Gallen (2-0, 1.05 ERA) makes his second consecutive start against the Cubs throwing six innings of two-hit ball against this lineup on Saturday. Though he struck out nine batters and only allowed one earned run, a fourth-inning solo home run by catcher Yan Gomes, Gallen received a no-decision as he exited in a 1-1 game. The Cubs plated three runs in the top of the ninth to beat the Diamondbacks 4-2.
The Cubs are eight games behind the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers and are only 6-12 inside the friendly confines this season.
