There’s been no shortage of late-inning drama through the first two games of this week’s American League West series between the Athletics and Rangers. The two teams have scored a combined 20 runs in the eighth inning or later.

In the first game on Monday, the Rangers took a 10-2 lead into the eighth inning. However, Oakland would score six runs in the top of that frame, before the Rangers finally escaped with the 10-8 win.
Things got even wilder on Tuesday. The Rangers scored twice in the bottom of the ninth, forcing extra innings at 5-5. Each team scored once in the 10th, followed by a scoreless 11th. In the 12th, the A’s exploded for eight runs and claimed a 14-7 win.
