The Sacramento River Cats (26-17), winners of the first four games of their six-game series at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento against the Oklahoma City Baseball Club (23-20), look to continue their dominance in the set on Saturday night. The River Cats, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, come in with four straight wins and five victories in their last six games to rise to second place, trailing the Pacific Coast League-leading Sugar Land Space Cowboys by two games. Oklahoma City, affiliated with the Los Angeles Dodgers, finds itself in a fourth-place tie with the Tacoma Rainiers, five games out of the first-half lead in the PCL.

Trenton Brooks broke the game open for Sacramento on Friday night with a two-run double in the fifth inning en route to a 5-1 victory. Reigning National League Cy Young winner Blake Snell, on a rehab assignment, struck out 10 in five no-hit innings, allowing just two baserunners.
The Baseball Club’s only run scored on Andre Lipcius’ team-best 11th home run of the season in the seventh inning. Trey Sweeney, acquired from the New York Yankees organization in December, had their only other hit on the night.
Neither team declared starting pitchers prior to Saturday’s game. Sweeney is the top prospect for the Dodgers on the OKC roster, ranked 21st in the organization according to MLB Pipeline. He slashes .238/.353/.350 with two home runs and 18 RBI in 40 games. Lipcius hits .318/.382/.604 while Miguel Vargas leads the club with 38 RBI. Heliot Ramos paces the River Cats with eight home runs, Casey Schmitt has 31 RBI and Brett Wisley slashes .311/.403/.487.
